Our dedicated prescription clerks deal with all aspects of prescription requests and are available from 08:30 until 18:00 every weekday.
As a safety measure, we do not routinely accept requests for prescriptions over the telephone. Instead, we ask that you present the tear-off slip or put your request in writing. If you want us to post your prescription back to you please remember to enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
Repeat prescrition requests can now be requested anytime of the day or night by accessing the Practice's on-line repeat prescrition request system. To access this facility you will need to register for an on-line access account which can be arranged by visiting our Reception Team.
Patient Access Registration
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. It would be helpful if you could inform the receptionist when making your appointment that it is for a medication review as you may book an appointment in advance for this purpose. As these reviews can be complex, it is important to use the appointment solely for this purpose. If you have any other medical problems, a further appointment should be booked. If you have heart problems or diabetes, your medication review will be done in the One-Stop Clinic that you will be invited to annually.
Please allow at least 72 hours for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account. You will need to allow extra time if you are relying on the post.
